About Me

I am a clinical social worker and psychotherapist with a passion for supporting people through difficult transitions in their lives. I received my Masters degree in social work from New York University and have over 15 years of experience. Having worked in an acute hospital setting for many years, I have special expertise not only with chronic illness and cancer, but also with working with family systems, changing relationships, and resilience. My additional areas of interest include supporting healthcare professionals, end-of-life work, and supporting parents.

Working through life transitions can come in a variety of different forms whether it be adjusting to a new job, becoming a first-time parent, being diagnosed with a serious illness, as well as a range of other things. My goal as a therapist is to help my clients gain a better understanding of your feelings, moods and behaviors throughout these transitions, and in turn, help you to better manage and cope. Therapy can also be a place to explore strategies for regaining control and moving forward. Because I have worked with individuals and families at all life stages, I have been able to develop a practice that tailors to each person’s wishes and needs. I combine many therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic, Strengths-Based, and meaning-centered work to ensure the right fit for each person, injecting humor and levity along the way.

This is the therapist for me!
